Thanks Robb, great to hear from you again. I agree, and I also guess the moving-to-keep-warm part of things is very important. The one time when I was sopping wet and unexpectedly found myself barely being able to move or get out of the rain for several hours, I think I must have been approaching hypothermic. (I consider myself quite lucky.)

Kia ora Mike,
I enjoy your sentence, " I was about as wet as I was going to get". I think of all the times walking in rain or sleet, and between water and sweat always arriving at my destination thoroughly soaked - but warm! Have a great day.
Cheers,
Robb

Hi Greg. Thanks for the comment and yes, I really enjoy rain. I generally don't mind getting wet, as long as there's some way to dry off at the end of it. I suppose it's also nice to see places like this because it's a condition in which many people simply don't go out of their way to look for.

Hi Mike,
Reading this post I gladly came to realize that there are people who like rain no less then I do out there! I am also have a difficulty to stay indoors when there is a rain outside. There is something about the rain that I love and I am not exactly sure what it is. Maybe it is the smell of the earth and water mixed together, maybe it is the mood, or maybe I just love to get wet and be in the presence of rain. I also prefer to listen to the raindrops in a tent instead from behind a glass window (though it is also ok :) ). Anyway I am glad that there are more "crazy" people like me.
